The Chairwoman of Society of regional studies The Spring (Istok) Liudmila Belyh:

For quite a long period of time all of the Istok’s activities continued solely owing to the enthusiasm of the librarians, and the only award given to us then were children’s eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement. But since RUSTEEL Company and Far Eastern Branch of NLMK become our sponsors, our life changed for the better. Thanks to their regular financial help, we have got an opportunity to organize bus tours around the city and the whole region for our children.

Computer presented to us by our sponsors made our analytic work much easier, as well as compiling of Memory Album. In this unique publication we gather information about veterans of the World War II who live in Leninskiy district of Vladivostok city. Our children studied their biographies, visited them, struck up friendship with them.

We appreciate our sponsors’ attitude towards our problems, their attention to the rising generation. And we strongly believe that having such an example to follow children will grow to be real patriots.
